Retaining Compounds
Kem Vibra-TITE Anaerobic Retaining Compounds are designed to increase shear strength on non-threaded, cylindrical metal assemblies. The liquid anaerobic material fills voids between close fitting metal assemblies. It cures to a toughened thermoset-plastic which creates a solid one-piece assembly. Retaining compounds seal joints against leakage and prevent corrosion and seizure. These materials have gained wide acceptance as standard method for assembling press-fit and slip-fitted parts.
General Purpose
Kem Vibra-TITE 530 General Purpose Retaining Compound
The product performs on aluminium, steel, plated, stainless steel, and special alloy parts. Can be used where lubricity is needed to press fit parts or to create an air-tight seal on cylindrical assemblies. This product cures rapidly on all metal surfaces. Replaces press fit assemblies and keyways. Used on gearbox bolts / drive shaft, bearing applications.
